Featuring Prairie Dreams:Silver Dances by Texas A&M University-Kingsville professor Greg Sanders Capriccio Espangnol, Rimsky-Korsakov Piano Concerto No. 1, Brahms, with Texas A&M-Kingsville piano professor Joachim Reinhuber.

The Kingsville Symphonic Orchestra (KSO) will present its spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3 in Jones Auditorium on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

The program will feature Prairie Dreams: Silver Dances by A&M-Kingsville professor Dr. Greg Sanders; Capriccio espagnol, Op. 34 by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and  Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15 by Johannes Brahms featuring A&M-Kingsville assistant professor of piano Dr. Joachim Reinhuber. Maestro Brendan Townsend will return as guest conductor for the concert.

Comprised of students majoring in music at A&M-Kingsville and professional musicians, the KSO combines local Kingsville talent with area musicians to provide the community with first-rate performances of standard classical repertoire, as well as memorable popular melodies.

In efforts to reach across the entire community, KSO invites all junior high and senior high school music students to attend concerts free of charge. Free tickets are also provided to all children under the age of 13 who are accompanied by an adult.

Free parking is available for the concert. Group rate discounts also are available. For more information, call 593-2804.
