Description
Standard State: solid at 298 K
Color: lustrous, grayish tinge
Brandt discovered Cobalt around 1735. Cobalt is often associated with nickel, silver, lead, copper, and iron ores, because it is a by-product of them. It has a magnetic permeability of about two thirds of that of iron. Cobalt used in various forms has helped heal certain mineral deficiencies in animals.
