4DX @ TAMUK
The 4 Disciplines of Execution (commonly known as 4DX) is a structured, proven approach to achieving the university's most important goals amidst the whirlwind of daily tasks and responsibilities. The University Leadership Council, comprising the Strategic Executive Leadership Team (SELT) and upper administrative personnel, including Associate/Assistant Vice President and College Deans, met in June 2023 and identified the University's Wildly Important Goal (WIG) of achieving an overall enrollment of 10,000 students by the Fall 2028 semester. Two sub-WIGs were also selected in support of the WIG: Recruitment of new students and Retention of FTIC students.

During the Fall 2024 semester, TAMUK initiated the official launch of 4DX framework to all units across the university. Two training sessions in late Spring 2024 for all teams were held with TAMUK's 4DX Consultant, Suzanne Hays. These trainings outlined the four disciplines, the development of WIGs and Lead Measures, the roles each individual on the team would contribute, and how to access the software and other 4DX resources within the software. After teams developed their WIGs and Lead Measures, launch reviews were conducted for all academic and non-academic units on May 15-17, 2024, with Suzanne Hays and executive leaders in attendance. These launch reviews were designed to review the proposed WIGs and Lead Measures, ensuring proper structure and addressing any lingering questions.
All teams are required to maintain both a physical and digital 4DX scoreboard. Digital scoreboards are maintained in 4DXOS, a Franklin Covey software, that allows units to track the WIG and Lead Measure(s) progress, fulfill weekly commitments, and conduct weekly WIG Sessions/Huddles.
