COURSE OFFERINGS
- College Algebra (MATH 1314): Monday-Friday 12:00 p.m. - 1:40 p.m. 3 credits
- College-level topics in algebra including functions, graphs, variation, piecewise defined functions, equations of lines, elementary curve fitting, quadratic equations and functions, systems of linear and nonlinear equations, composition of functions, inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic functions and applications related to these topics. Includes one additional hour of math preparation.
- Foundations of College Algebra (MATH 0315): Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. - 11:40 a.m. 3 credits
- A study of relations and functions, inequalities, algebraic expressions and equations, with a special emphasis on linear and quadratic expressions and equations. The course is the study of basics concepts necessary for success in MATH 1314 to include rational expressions, equations, functions, graphs, systems of linear equations, problem solving, exponent, and radicals. Corequisite with MATH 1314
- Non-Course Based Math (NCBM 0101): Monday, Wednesday, Friday 2:00 p.m. - 3:40 p.m. 1 credit
- A non-course based option to accelerate developmental math students and support success in college level mathematics. Students must be concurrently registered in a gateway math course ( MATH 1314, MATH 1324, MATH 1334, or STAT 1342). Placement is based on mathematics TSIA score and multiple measures (holistic) assessment.
- Rhetoric and Composition (ENGL 1301): Monday-Friday 11:00 a.m. - 12:40 p.m. 3 credits
- Intensive study of and practice in writing processes, from invention to drafting, revising, and editing, both individually and collaboratively. Emphasis on effective rhetorical choices; sensitivity to writing's purpose, arrangement, style, and audience. Focus on academic writing as a vehichle for learning, communication, and critical analysis. Required of all freshmen.
- Integrated Reading & Writing (INRW 0300): Monday-Friday 2:00 p.m. - 3:40 p.m. 3 credits
- Integration of critical reading and academic writing skills. Course fulfills TSI requirements for reading and/or writing. Required of students deemed not college-ready in reading and writing skills.
- Learning in Global Context (UNIV 1201): Monday-Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 3:36 p.m. 2 credits
- A course designed to enhance the opportunities for success of first-year students through analysis, application, reflection, discussion, and interaction.
- Engineering as a Career (GEEN 1201): Monday-Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 3:25 p.m. 2 credits
- Overview of the history of engineering, its disciplines and professional practice with emphasis on social responsibility and ethical behavior. Introduces each engineering discipline using three-week modules. It also provides basic skills, tools and techniques applied to problem solving, teamwork and communication necessary for academic and professional success.

Yes! Parenting students can receive a maximum of $750 dollars to be used for day care costs.
Unfortunately, no. Children are not permitted to stay overnight in our dorm rooms.
