Thank you for your interest in the Federal Work-Study program. We attempt to award as many students as possible who meet the following criteria:

• Filed a FAFSA
• Indicated interest in work-study on the FAFSA
• Have financial need
• Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress

If awarded, you will be notified via email on your award. There are part time jobs available that do not require to be awarded federal work-study.  Students who receive work-study or interested in a part time jobs on campus can apply for at Javelina Careers powered by Handshake.

Part-Time positions:

Available to all eligible students enrolled in at least half-time status.

Students must NOT work more than 19 hours* in any workweek.

Work-study positions:

Available to students who have been awarded Federal or State work-study at TAMUK (FAFSA required) and enrolled at least half-time. If you have been offered aid, log in to your JNET Student Portal to view your Financial Aid awards.

A print out of your Financial Aid award screen in JNet showing your work-study award MUST be provided when applying for a work-study position.
