EmpowerEd Javelinas is a unique pathway designed specifically for paraprofessionals who are ready to take the next step in their careers by earning their bachelor's degree and teacher certification.
Through this program, eligible participants can complete their degree while continuing to make an impact in the classroom, with financial support and flexible course options designed for working professionals.

 

Who is this program for?

EmpowerEd Javelinas is intended for paraprofessionals who:

• Are currently working in a school setting
• Want to earn a bachelor's degree in Education
• Need teacher certification as part of completing their degree

 

Only need your Teacher Certification?

If you already hold a bachelor's degree and only need teacher certification, EmpowerEd Javelinas is not the appropriate program for you.

What You’ll Receive

• Financial Support: As a “Last Dollar Program”, EmpowerEd Javelinas covers tuition and mandatory university fees for eligible students. Books and lab fees are not included.
• Flexible Course Delivery: Courses are offered primarily online, allowing you to balance work and school. Occasional in-person courses may be available.
