Your role in supporting your student through college and beyond continues after high school or community college. The influence that you hold is vital to their lifelong success after graduation. We welcome your participation and positive influence to this process for all of our students and alumni.

A great way to support your students with their career planning is to encourage them to seek help. No one who starts college has all the answers. Please feel free to ask your student if they have visited our office. We don't have all the answers, but we will work closely with your student to help them find the answers.
Going to class, getting enough sleep, introducing themselves to their professors, eating the right foods, joining a student organization, and getting exercise continue to top contributors to academic success. It is important to bring these up during your conversations, but maybe not mentioning them all at once.
One of the top preferences employers look for in new college graduates is real-world experience outside the classroom. While graduating from college early is less of a financial burden, these students may not be as competitive when applying for jobs. It's never to early to think about doing an internship. This is another great conversation we can have with your student.
