
Applied Psychology Interdisciplinary Clinic | Counseling Psychology Training Clinic
At the Applied Psychology Interdisciplinary Clinic (APIC) clinic we strive to provide therapeutic services and fully embrace the provision of multiculturally sensitive services that honor the dignity of all individuals. Any adult residing in Texas is eligible for services. At this time, APIC does not offer services to couples, families, or minors.

Services:
We offer skills training, outreach workshop, short-term group and individual psychotherapy to TAMUK students, faculty, and staff and members of the Kingsville community. Clients are assigned to a therapist/clinician and scheduled for standing weekly appointments for the semester. Therapists and clients work collaboratively to determine whether additional therapy is needed at the end of the semester. Our services are tailored to the needs and concerns of each individual, which might include but are not limited to:
- Depression/anxiety
- Family problems
- Personal problems
- Career/vocational services
- Life transitionsRelationships
What can I expect as a prospective client?
Pricing
- Texas college students: Free
- TAMUK faculty and staff: $80 per semester
- Alumni: First year free; 2 nd year forward $20 per semester
- General community members: $50 per semester
APIC clinic does not accept insurance, Medicaid or other third-party payments.

Therapist/Clinicians:
Students in the advanced stages of their counseling psychology studies are clinicians at APIC. These students work with individuals to help them resolve issues that are barriers to healthy relationships and productive lives. The clinician-in-training work closely with experienced clinical faculty members who are experts in the field of mental and behavioral health to ensure that the services they provide are of professional quality. Our clinician trainees and their licensed supervisors approach therapy with a diverse range of techniques from cognitive-behavioral to psychodynamic.
