Dr. Park received his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Texas A&M University, College Station. Dr. Park joined Texas A&M AgriLife Research in Weslaco after a brief postdoc period at Samuel R. Noble Foundation. During his time at AgriLife Research he was involved in projects investigation plant response against biotic and abiotic stress. In 2015, Dr. Park joined the TAMUK Citrus Center and has conducted research at Dr. Kunta’s lab investigating molecular biological aspects of various citrus diseases. Dr. Park was appointed Research Assistant Professor in September 2022.

Dr. Park utilizes various molecular biological and bioinformatical tools to better understand the citrus-pathogen interaction with ultimate goal of citrus genetic improvement for disease resistance and yield.
