Dr. Ryan Knuth

Assistant Professor, Small Ruminant

Ryan Knuth grew up in South Central Wisconsin on a small commercial Polypay sheep farm, learning early in life how to care for animals in profitable ways. He earned his B.S. in Animal Science (2017) at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, M.S. in Animal and Range Sciences at Montana State University (2019), and Doctor of Philosophy in Animal and Veterinary Science at the University of Wyoming (2022). Throughout his collegiate education and professional experience, he has had a breadth of research and real-world production experiences related to sheep and beef cattle production systems and looks forward to building a highly impactful applied, and translatable teaching and research program focused on animal health and management to improve small ruminant production.
