About Dr. Pérez-Ballestero
Dr. Rafael Pérez-Ballestero is a cell biologist whose teaching spans cell biology, embryology, and microbiology. His research investigates nerve regeneration, apoptosis, and biomedical applications of nanotechnology. His laboratory has contributed to understanding molecular pathways of neuronal repair and programmed cell death, while also exploring translational approaches for biomedical sciences. He is deeply committed to student research mentoring, often engaging undergraduates and graduates in projects presented at regional and national conferences.
