About Dr. Hwang

Dr. Hyun Seok Hwang is a cardiac electrophysiologist whose research focuses on sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) calcium regulation under oxidative stress-induced cardiomyopathy. His work investigates molecular mechanisms of calcium handling, arrhythmogenesis, and the impact of oxidative stress on ion channel function and heart failure development. Through his teaching and research, Dr. Hwang trains students in physiology, integrative biology, and the molecular underpinnings of cardiovascular disease.
