Past Research: Organometallic and coordination chemistry of rhodium and palladium and application in homogeneous catalysis

Current Research: Development of gold and platinum containing catalysts for organic reactions (hydration and hydroarylation of alkynes), study of alkyne activation and reaction mechanisms using NMR techniques and X-Ray single crystal structure analysis.

Best Advice Ever Received: Never worry, but be alert.

Hobbies: Biking, baking, Bach and Baroque music.

What Influenced You to Study Chemistry: My family and East German chemical education and chemical industry.
