TAMUK DEC Makerspace: Design, Explore, and Create
The DEC Makerspace Studio is the campus hub for hands-on innovation, collaboration, and creativity. Located in Room 306 of the Jernigan Library, the Makerspace provides access to state-of-the-art tools and technology for all Texas A&M University–Kingsville students, faculty, and staff. Our goal is to empower the Javelina community to design, create, and experiment in a supportive environment that encourages learning by doing.
Whether you're building a prototype with our 3D printers, customizing apparel with Cricut and heat press machines, or recording professional-quality content in our full podcast and media studio, the Makerspace is here to help you bring your ideas to life. The space also supports class projects, entrepreneurial ventures, and personal creative endeavors, offering the perfect place to explore new technologies and develop practical skills.

Regular Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
After Hours & Weekends: By Appointment Only
We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for all after-hours requests. Weekend service requires submission by the preceding Friday for timely processing.
Due to staffing limitations, submitting an after-hours request does not guarantee approval. However, we encourage you to submit your request for our team’s review. While we strive to accommodate all requests, please know that staffing availability may affect approval.
