This program is designed for students who want to begin a rewarding career in healthcare through hands-on patient care and cardiac monitoring training. Students will learn to assist healthcare teams in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities while developing foundational skills in patient care, EKG procedures, and workplace professionalism.

Instruction includes:

  • Taking and documenting vital signs and assisting with patient care procedures
  • Assisting patients with mobility and daily living, and safety support
  • Performing basic clinical skills, patient monitoring, and infection control practices
  • Introduction to EKG procedures, lead placement, and basic rhythm interpretation
  • Understanding healthcare professionalism, ethics, communication, and workplace expectation

Program Details:

  • 150 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on lab training (10 weeks)
  • Certification: Eligible to take the Patient Care Technician (CPCT) and Certified EKG Technician (CET) certification exams through American Allied Health (AAH)
  • Tuition: $1,500 (materials & exam fees included)

This program is designed for students who want to prepare for an exciting, challenging, and rewarding career in healthcare. Students will be trained to assist physicians by performing a variety of clinical duties commonly found in medical office settings.

Instruction includes:

  • Preparing patients for examination and treatment
  • Preforming routine laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
  • Assisting with technical aspects of phlebotomy and understanding the cardiac life cycle
  • Key topics: pharmacology, proper use and administration of medications, taking/documenting vital signs, cardiology (including proper lead placements), professional workplace behavior, ethics, and legal aspects of healthcare

Program Details:

  • 150 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory experience (14 weeks)
  • Certification: Eligible to take the National Certified Registered Medical Assistant (NCRMA) exam through National Association for Healthcare Professionals (NAHP)
  • Tuition:$2,799 (materials & exam fees included)
