Fiscal Year 27 Call for Proposals: TAMUS Research Excellence Fund
Texas A&M University–Kingsville
The Texas A&M University System Research Excellence Fund (REF) continues in its second year in Fiscal Year (FY) 27 as a competitive, merit-based program designed to strengthen research capacity, competitiveness, and impact across A&M System member institutions.
At Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK), the REF provides opportunities to accelerate research growth through strategic investments in innovative and interdisciplinary initiatives. The program supports projects that expand faculty research and scholarship, foster collaboration among A&M System institutions, increase competitiveness for external funding, and address important regional, state, and national priorities.
Priority is given to high-impact initiatives that align with TAMUK and A&M System research goals, demonstrate strong potential for collaboration and future growth, and create sustainable research capacity. Through these investments, TAMUK seeks to advance discovery, strengthen partnerships, develop research talent, and generate meaningful benefits for communities, industry, and society.
