Homecoming King and Queen

Applications can be picked up at the Student Government Association (SGA) office (MSUB 201 – above the Post Offices) beginning October 2nd.

The last day to submit an application is October 7th @ 5PM in the SGA office. 

Mandatory Election Code Meeting:

October 10th @ 12PM or 3PM

October 11th @ 12PM or 3PM 


No campaigning may occur until October 14th. All campaign materials must be removed from campus within two days after the election.

In order to participated in the Blue, Gold, and Fame talent show, one must adhere to the following rules: 

  1. At least one performer must be a TAMUK student, faculty, or staff member, and can provide a valid K number.
  2. Performances may be in the form of song, poetry, art, dance, or special talent. Performances should not include vulgar or demeaning words/actions for general audiences.
  3. Dress should be appropriate for performance and should not be vulgar or offensive.
  4. Performers may only participate in one act. Failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification for the acts involved.
  5. Performances may be up to, but cannot exceed, five (5) minutes.
  6. Performances are limited to a maximum of 8 participants per act.
  7. Performers must attend a mandatory sound check/rehearsal the day before the show.
  8. Participants must be willing to sign a waiver prior to the performance.
  9. Performances will be judged in three categories: Uniqueness, Audience Engagement, and Overall Performance.
  10. Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1stplace -$300, 2nd place - $200, 3rd place - $100
  11. Winners must fill out proper paperwork to receive prize.

Failure to comply with any of the rules mentioned above will result in automatic disqualification.
