Accounts & Passwords

An account is automatically created for new students and employees. During this automated process, the username (e.g. kuabc123), student/employee (e.g. K12345678), and email address will be created for student, staff, and faculty. A student’s account is created after they have been accepted to the University. Staff and faculty’s account is created via the Human Resources hiring process.

iTech provides the end user the ability to change their own password by going to the iTech Password Reset pageThe web self-service password reset page does not require your old password and you will be able to view your email address and user name.  You will need to log in using your Student/Faculty/Staff ID (BannerID/K-number example: K12345678) and Birthdate.

  • Blackboard Connect Emergency Messaging
  • Help Desk (Service Now)

LDAP is normally used for authentication for third party services. Active Directory is used for authentication.

Single Sign On to web and mobile applications supports CAS and SAML2. Single Sign On is provided to JNet portal, Blackboard Learn LMS, Blackboard Connect Emergency Messaging, Accellion and Help Desk (Service Now), Office 365, JCAL via Ad Astra, Starfish.
