Work-Study Waitlist

Thank you for your interest in the Federal Work-Study program. To be considered for an award, please ensure that you meet the following criteria:

Submit your FAFSA by the state priority deadline
Demonstrate financial need
Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress

We strive to offer awards to as many eligible students as possible.

If awarded, you will be notified via email on your award. There are part time jobs available that do not require to be awarded federal work-study. Students who receive work-study or interested in a part time jobs on campus can apply for at Javelina Careers powered by Handshake.

Part-Time positions:

Available to all eligible students enrolled in at least half-time status.

Students must NOT work more than 19 hours* in any workweek.

Work-study positions:

Available to students who have been awarded Federal or State work-study at TAMUK (FAFSA required) and enrolled at least half-time. If you have been offered aid, log in to your Blue & Gold Connection to view your Financial Aid awards.

A print out of your Financial Aid award screen in Blue & Gold Connection showing your work-study award MUST be provided when applying for a work-study position.
