Employee Graduate Scholarship
Investing in You: Graduate Scholarships for Our Javelina Family
As part of our continued investment in our employees, we are excited to offer a scholarship this fall that will cover the tuition and fees for the first graduate course of all current, full-time faculty and staff and their immediate family members who are Texas residents.
Our team has worked diligently to make this process as easy as possible:
- We've waived the application fee and, there is no need to apply via ApplyTexas. Instead, please submit the form below.
- Students can submit unofficial transcripts through our document upload portal.
- Official transcripts will need to be provided before the end of your first semester.
- Employees will need to complete the Graduate Scholarship Tuition & Fee Waiver form (if it is for a family member, the employee will need to fill it out for them and indicate on the form it is a family member).
- Javelina alumni who wish to enroll full-time may also be eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship paid out over the first two long semesters.
- Applicants must be Texas residents and must complete a FAFSA to be eligible. The deadline to apply is August 20.
- Do I need to complete an application through ApplyTexas? No, for this special offer you can use our application below and skip the ApplyTexas process.
- Do I need to provide copies of my transcripts from previous institutions I have attended? Yes, you will need to provide copies of your transcripts. However, to gain admission you can upload unofficial copies of your transcripts through our document upload portal. Prior to registering for your second semester, you will need to ensure that official copies of all your previously attended institutions are sent to the Office of Admission.
- Do I need to submit any other documents to be considered for admission? Most programs do not require any additional documents for admission. However, if the program you are applying for does require additional documentation, like a resume or essay, we will contact you and work with you to get that submitted.
- How soon will I know if I am admitted to the Graduate School? We are working for a very quick turnaround because the semester is starting soon. You will hopefully know within a couple of days if all materials are received.
- Am I eligible for any other financial aid? You may be eligible for other financial aid or scholarships. After completing the FAFSA, you will be provided with a description of your financial aid award. You can also go to the University’s scholarship page to apply for other scholarship opportunities. In addition, if you are a graduate of Texas A&M University-Kingsville, you will automatically be awarded the Javelina Graduate Scholarship for $1,000 which will be paid out over your first two long semesters ($500 each).
- What family members are eligible for this offer? This is only available for your immediate family members. Generally this includes your spouse and children who live with you. If you have other dependents, they may also be eligible for this award.
- I can’t start this fall, but will this opportunity be available in future semesters? At this time, it is only available for Fall 2025. However, we will be evaluating how this new program goes to see if we can continue to make this offer available in future semesters?
- Can I or my family members use this to start an undergraduate program? No, this program is only available for students who are starting a graduate program at TAMUK.
