Potential Transfer Course Work

The Industrial Management and Technology Department has implemented the following requirements with respect to the transfer of technical credits from community colleges.  Technical credits from a community college cannot be accepted credit unless the course is taught by an instructor with a master's degree. An alternate process for technical transfer credit is a departmental credit memo. To receive a departmental credit memo for 1000 and 2000 level comparable technical courses, a student must complete the following.

1. Completion of a comparable technical course with a grade of “C” or greater; technical courses include,

ITEN 1311, Technical CAD

ITEN 1315, Introduction to Manufacturing Processes

ITEN 2301, Industrial Electronics (contains both AC and DC Circuits)

ITEN 2322, Measurement and Materials

ITEN 2330, OSHA for General Industry

2. Completion of departmental course credit exam with a score of 80% or greater.

Note: If a technical course was taught by an instructor with a Master's degree within the content area and can be validated, direct transfer of the course is possible (see Industrial Management and Technology Department Chair).
