Dr. Chika Yamamoto Rosenbaum (山本知佳)

Associate Professor of Political Science (政治学准教授)

I earned B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. My research focuses on the Political Economy of East Asia, especially how and why countries like Japan pursue free trade agreements (FTAs) and the impacts of FTAs on the national economy and regionalism. I am also a chapter advisor for Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society and faculty advisor for Model Untied Nations program. I teach a variety of courses including American Politics, Texas Politics, World Politics, International Relations, Model United Nations, Research and Analysis in Political Science, and Politics and Society of Japan (study-abroad course).
