Senior Design Industrial Engineering
Industrial Engineering Senior Design is a two-semester capstone experience that integrates the analytical, computational, and human-centered foundations of the industrial engineering curriculum at Texas A&M University–Kingsville. In this course sequence, students work in teams to address complex, open-ended problems involving systems optimization, process improvement, data-driven decision making, and operational efficiency. Guided by faculty mentors and often supported by industry partners, students apply industrial engineering tools such as operations research, simulation, quality engineering, ergonomics, and supply chain analysis within a structured design framework. The Industrial Engineering Senior Design experience prepares students for professional practice by emphasizing systems thinking, teamwork, ethical responsibility, effective communication, and the ability to deliver sustainable and impactful engineering solutions.
