With Texas farm and ranch revenues at $15 billion, agriculture is BIG business. Agricultural producers face challenges that require up-to-date management information. Through our nationally-renowned research facilities such as the Citrus Center, students are exposed to research and its significance to the industry at an early stage in their careers.
Students are educated in the areas of natural resources and environmental economics to become advocates for farm, ranch and water management issues. Economic policy, finance and economics applied at the international scale are all part of this cohesive program. The agribusiness program also will prepare students for the future through the studies of business decision-making, financing and the production and marketing of food, fiber and bio-fuel products and services.
The knowledge and skills acquired in this program are applicable to almost any field; therefore, our graduates have excellent employment opportunities after graduation. Students interested in agribusiness, may contact our academic advisors.
