Texas A&M University-Kingsville ranked as top performer in U.S. News and World Report 2026 Best Online Programs

KINGSVILLE (Jan 29, 2025) — The U.S. News and World Report released its 2026 Best Online Programs rankings where Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) was recognized as a top performer for its Online MBA and Graduate Engineering programs.

The report surveyed and gathered information on 377 universities and ranked the TAMUK College of Business Administration’s Online MBA program No. 152. In Texas, TAMUK is Ranked No. 8 among public universities in the State of Texas and No. 11 overall.

“Our recognition by U.S. News & World Report reflects Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s strategic commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible graduate education that serves working professionals and regional workforce needs,” said Dr. Brent Kinghorn, Interim Dean and Director of Graduate Programs for the TAMUK College of Business Administration. “This ranking affirms the strength of our AACSB-accredited online MBA, our faculty’s industry-engaged approach to teaching, and our focus on student success. It reinforces our role in developing business leaders who contribute meaningfully to the economic vitality of South Texas and beyond.”

Categories the U.S. News used to rank MBA programs included engagement, peer assessment, faculty credentials and training, student excellence and services and technology. TAMUK’s online MBA was ranked No. 1 in Faculty Credentials and Training.

The rankings also included Online Graduate Engineering Program where the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering was ranked No. 5 among public schools in Texas and No. 6 overall.
