KINGSVILLE (July 16, 2025) — In 2024, two members of the clarinet faculty and a student quartet from the School of Music at Texas A&M University-Kingsville were selected as performers for Clarinetfest held last year in Dublin, Ireland. This year, the same two faculty and 21 students were selected to perform at the annual Clarinetfest held in Dallas last week.
To determine who will perform at the International Clarinet Association’s Clarinetfest, performances were accepted by audition and peer reviewed as proposals by the Artistic Leadership Team for Clarinetfest 2025.
Those performing included Dr. Karen Andreas Bronson, clarinet adjunct; and Dr. Andrea Vos-Rochefort, assistant professor of clarinet and 21 students from the clarinet studio who are members of the TAMUK Clarinet Choir, Los Padres del Clarinete Bajo, and Reeds and Roses. One student, Rudy Rodriguez gave a solo performance.
