“He is a proven winner and a dynamic leader,” Salinas said. “Coach Parr understands the rich tradition of Javelina Football, and I believe he will work tirelessly to help us take the next step. We feel he is exactly what we need, and I am excited about the future of our program. We are thrilled to welcome Coach Parr, his wife Kyla, and his family to Javelina Nation.”

Parr’s 26-year coaching career includes serving as Offensive Coordinator at Eastern Illinois, Senior Offensive Analyst at Texas Tech, and Offensive Coordinator at West Texas A&M. Parr has also worked with programs at Tarleton State, Baylor University, and Sam Houston State.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be the Head Coach at Texas A&M University- Kingsville,” Parr said. “I have tremendous respect for the history and tradition of Texas A&M University- Kingsville Football. This is the opportune time to be a part of the Javelina family. My family and I are filled with gratitude and look forward to impacting the university, the community, and alumni base to advance the mission of President Dr. Robert Vela and Executive Director of Athletics Michael Salinas. We look forward to winning on and off the field. Go Javelinas!”
