Registration now available for School of Music Marching Camp

KINGSVILLE (March 10, 2023) — Registration has now opened for Javelina Marching Camp, taught by the faculty from the School of Music at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in their new state-of-the-art music building. Band camp will be held from Sunday, June 18, through Friday, June 23. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, June 1.

 

All students will enjoy a core curriculum involving marching fundamentals, leadership and full ensemble music rehearsals in addition to a variety of electives including drum major training, jazz band, mariachi, color guard and much more.

 

Every afternoon, campers will be able to participate in electives like concert, chamber and jazz ensembles, mariachi, conducting, improvisation and more.

 

Tuition for camp, including housing, meals and instruction is $400. Commuter campers may attend for the discounted price of $250 which pays for meals and instruction. In addition, all members of the Texas All-State Band will receive a $250 scholarship.
