Types of On-Campus Positions

Part-Time positions:

  • Available to all eligible students enrolled in at least half-time status.
  • Students must NOT work more than 19 hours* in any work week.

Work Study positions:

  • Available to students who have been awarded Federal or State work study at TAMUK (FAFSA required) and enrolled at least half-time. If you have been offered aid, log in to Blue & Gold Connection to view your financial aid awards.
  • A print out of your Blue & Gold financial aid screen showing your Work Study award MUST be provided when applying for a work study position.
  • Students must NOT work more than 19 hours* in any work week.

* Students workers are not allowed to work more than 19 hours in any work week. International students who work more than 19 hours per work week may be in violation of their visa status.

2998 Information Systems Assistant Col of Bus The College of Business seeks a student who in interested in performing the following activities:  Working with the College of Business internal platform that is utilized for accreditation efforts.  Available to support the Assurance of Learning chair and administration team on other accreditation-related tasks.  Assistance with administration tasks related to research.  The ideal candidate will be a student with an information systems major, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher. A sophomore or junior class status is preferred.
2834 Farm Student Worker Farm Farm/Ranch Operations: individual will be help farm specialist and livestock herdsman with farm maintenance and animal husbandry. Task vary depending on farm needs.
2993 College for Kids-Camp Instructor Center for Continuing Education Provides instruction to camp participants for indicated activity or subject. Teaches the associated knowledge and skills and assists campers in achieving activity or lesson goals. Assists in other duties as assigned
3001 Community Advisor University Housing & Residence Life, Texas A&M University Community Advisors (CAs) are primarily involved in creating a community environment that is focused on student success and student learning. In order to accomplish this, the CA is expected to play a variety of constantly changing roles; the CA must be flexible and creative in meeting the needs of residents by serving as an educator, counselor, advisor, and activity programmer. CAs should be knowledgeable in the corresponding subject of the communities they supervise, and are trained to facilitate academic growth.
3000 Resident Advisor University Housing & Residence Life, Texas A&M University Resident Advisors (RAs) create a community environment conducive to individual and social growth. Each RA strives to empower students to identify needs and determine goals, maintain visibility, provide opportunity for student involvement in the residential community, and assist individual students in realizing and implementing a mature approach to personal conduct. An RA’s knowledge of the campus and community is invaluable in making their resident's university experience rewarding.
