NEW COURTESY MESSAGE for FINANCIAL AID RECEIPIENTS AT OR NEARING AGGREGATE LOAN LIMITS
Students who are nearing their federal loan limits as established by the federal government are now receiving a message from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in Blue and Gold. This message is being sent as a courtesy to allow students to know if they are nearing the maximum amounts allowed for subsidized and unsubsidized student loans so that they can better plan their current or future academic plans. Students who see the message below do not have to take any action and no documents are needed at this time; however, they may want to log into the Federal Student Aid website to review their Student Aid Reports to see the total amounts of loans outstanding prior to this school year.

The Office of Student Financial Aid is excited about your interest in obtaining an education from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. There are various forms of Financial Aid available to students who qualify. The objective of the Financial Aid Office is to provide assistance through Grants, Scholarships, Loans, and College Work-Study to students who, without such aid, would be unable to attend college. This assistance seeks to remove the barriers for those families who cannot afford the cost of education beyond high school and to fill the gap for families who can afford only part of the cost. In addition to this philosophy is the belief that the educational opportunities shall not be limited because of scarce financial resources if the student is capable and demonstrates a desire to continue in post secondary education.
