Randy Fluman, Associate Professor of Music, Percussion


Randy Fluman is Associate Professor of Percussion at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and has been a member of the music faculty since 1987. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Music in Performance degree from Texas Tech University. He supervises the PRIDE of South Texas drumline, conducts the percussion ensemble, and teaches applied percussion lessons. Mr. Fluman is principal percussionist with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, timpanist for the Corpus Christi Ballet Orchestra, and percussionist with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra. The TAMUK percussion ensemble has performed at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, PAS Valley Day of Percussion, and at high schools throughout South Texas. Mr. Fluman has served as marching percussion instructor and arranger for the University of Oklahoma, Texas Tech University, the SkyRyders Drum and Bugle Corps from Hutchinson, Kansas, and the Valiant Knights Drum and Bugle Corps from Enid, Oklahoma.
