About Dr. Salazar
Dr. Emelyn Mariel Salazar Castillo is an immunologist whose research focuses on the interaction between hemostasis and the immune system in pathological conditions. With extensive training in vascular biology, innate immunity, and hemostasis, she explores mechanisms underlying inflammatory responses. Currently, she investigates the pathological effects of snake venoms, mechanisms of snake envenomation, and immune response contributions to the envenoming process. She is eager to recruit undergraduate researchers, attract graduate students, and build collaborations in immunology, toxicology, or vascular biology.
