Mathematical Association of America's American Mathematical Competition 8
This competition is hosted by the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Mathematics Department, delivered through the MAA AMC System. After students register for the event, their school will receive material for study and practice. Winners will be determined by the highest score on a comprehensive assessment administered on the date of the contest.

Eligibility
Students who are in 6th through 8th grade in Spring 2025.
All students compete against each other for the individual competition. Schools may bring up to ten students. Students that perform well will receive a chance to be invited to the American Invitational Mathematics Examination and other contests held by MAA.
Registration Process
- Teachers: register your students through EMarkets
- Have a parent or guardian fill out and sign for each student the participant waiver, indemnification and medical treatment form, and the media release form.
- Once the student has registered, then they will receive instructions on how to sign up. Students
allow 3 business days to receive instructions. - Students can begin practicing!
Students will not be able to compete if:
- They do not bring their participant waiver, indemnification, and medical treatment form filled out and signed by their parent or guardian.
- They have not registered.
