Web Classroom Vision


1. Multimodal Delivery Format provides a combination of various technologies to offer flexible participation options for both the student and faculty.

2. Multimodal Course Delivery Flow:

  • An Instructor meets face to face with students in a video conference classroom, or they may choose to be from a remote location such as their home or office using Saba Centra web conference software.
  • Individual Students participate from anywhere they have access to a computer and broadband internet access using Saba Central web conference software.
  • Groups of students participate anywhere from a video conference classroom.
  • Students can watch a live stream from the Cisco Show & Share web portal.
  • Students can watch archived recordings of their daily classroom lectures from Blackboard Learn or Show & Share web portal.

Awarded by the United States Department of Education - The Office of Postsecondary Education – Award PO 31M105058. Title V - Promoting Postbaccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans (PPOHA)


The funded grant has designated thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to support new research projects for faculty. Through this grant, six tenured or tenure-track full-time faculty members will each be subsidized at $5,000 to conduct and complete research that results in a published article and/or a presentation at professional conferences within one year after the funding is granted. Collaborative and interdisciplinary proposals with more than one Investigator may be submitted, but will be funded at the same amount. New Faculty are strongly encouraged to apply.
