Kathy M. Pawelek, Academic Advisor I

Kathy Pawelek has served as a Senior Academic Advisor I since January 2011.  Her advisees include Art, Communication Sciences and Disorders and Theatre Arts. 

Pawelek is a native of the Rio Grande Valley and began her career at TAMUK as a student.  In 2006, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, with a minor in Business Administration.   After graduation, she served for 4 years with the Department of Special Programs, working with a diversity of TAMUK students in TRIO and federally-funded programs.

She is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).
