She became the first Javelina to have more than 130 defensive assists in two seasons at A&M-Kingsville.

Four Javelina softball players were honored by the Lone Star Conference last week including Courtney Rigamonti being named the LSC South Pitcher of the Year.
Rigamonti was named LSC South Preseason Pitcher of the Year and upheld the honor on her way to a 27-12 record.
Her win total led the conference.
She posted 2.58 ERAwith 229 strikeouts during the season.
Her ERA was good for ninth in the LSC and her strikeout total ranked her second in the conference.
She was also named to the LSC South Division First Team and the LSC South All- Academic team.
Joining Rigamonti on LSC South First Team was Cassie Anderson.
Anderson batted .437 this season with 29 RBIs and 28 stolen bases this season.
Her average led the conference and her stolen base total ranked second in the LSC.
She also set the school record with a 26-game winning streak.
She also had five triples that put her tied for second in the LSC.
Ariel Lichtenberger was named to the LSC South Second Team.
She batted .306 for the season with four home runs and 23 RBIs.
Meisha Patterson also earned Honorable Mention honors from the LSC.
She lead the team with 12 doubles this season and anchored the Javelina defense this season at shortstop.
The Javelinas finished the season with a 32-22 record and 8-10 in the LSC South in earning the No. 4 seed to get into the playoffs.
The team was able to pull off a 3-0 upset of the nationally- ranked No. 4 Southeastern Oklahoma Savage Storm.
The Javelinas could not keep the momentum going though and fell to the eventual Lone Star Conference champions and nationallyranked No. 5 Angelo State Rambelles, 4-3, before getting eliminated from the tournament by the Savage Storm in a 5-1 loss.
Despite falling in the conference tournament, the Javelinas did improve on their 2008 record of 22-34 thanks in large part to their 17-5 record at Hubert Field on campus.
The Javelinas set a school record by winning their first seven home games and eight of their first nine games on the campus of Texas A&MKingsville.
