Editor’s Note: Every week The South Texan
will share a “green” tip of the week to help students
identify easy ways to help protect the
world around us. Send your suggestions to recycletamuk@

Assisting
three
elements To sum up a school semester of
going green, this week’s green tip will
concentrate on the three elements-
Earth, Water and Wind.
The first green tip is for Earth, it is to
recycle.
By recycling, we reduce the sizes of
landfills and the toxins that go into our
soil.
So make sure to reuse anything that
can and recycle everything that can not
be reused.
The next green tip is for water.
To conserve water, our green tip, is
to check all leaky faucets in your home.
Hundreds and hundreds of gallons
of water are wasted all over the world
through leaky faucets.
By placing a cup or bowl under a
leaky faucet and reusing that water for
a plant or etc., we can save water.
The final green tip is for wind.
If you own a car make sure that its
engine is working properly to prevent
extra harmful emissions.
Sometimes car check ups can be expensive,
by searching for simple solutions
over the internet can save you
money and save the wind from pollution.
Everyone can help our environment
by going green and by following the
three R’s , reducing, reusing, and recycling
