*On April 29, 2009 at approximately
7:45 a.m. A
grounds maintenance worker
found a black wallet and
turned it in to UPD.
The wallet contained a
Texas A &M Kingsville Visitor
Dependent I.D. with his
name in it along with a current
hunting license,and a
prayer card.
The wallet was placed in
the lost and found at UPD office
until the owner retrieves
it.
Students car damaged by
suspect throwing bricks
*On April 25, 2009 UPD
was dispatched to the stadium
to meet a complainant,
David Flores Jr., in reference
to bricks damaging his vehicle.
An individual had
thrown bricks at the vehicle
and damaged the vehicle
with a big dent and deep
scratches on the right side of
the hood. Flores was at Relay
for Life when he left and observed
the damage. No suspect
was found.
Student confesses to
wrong doing after
being caught on camera
*On April 28, 2009, a student
requested to speak to
UPD in reference to criminal
mischief on April 17, 2009 to
Martin Hall. He was read his
Miranda rights.
UPD showed him the surveillance
video of that night
and he confessed as soon as
he saw his face. He did not
identify the other individual
with him, but he filled out a
voluntary statement.
Students reports
missing stolen vehicle
*On April 22, 2009, UPD
was dispatched in reference
to a stolen vehicle belonging
to a student.
His vehicle reported his
Red 1990 Chevy Caprice
stolen after a black female
and black male from Corpus
Christi took it for a test drive
and never came back.
He met the couple through
his friend and said they were
interested in buying the vehicle.
They were supposed to
drive around the block and
after not returning in ten
minutes as they had promised.
The car owner called the
police.
He left his insurance card
and wallet in the glove compartment.
The owner gave a description
of his car and UPD notified
KPD, Bishop Police,
Nueces Sheriff’s Department,
and Corpus Christi Police Department.
KPD dispatcher
advised officers that the vehicle
was seen on Lee and Alice
streets but it was not located.
The student wishes to
press charges if caught.
On April, 23, 2009 the vehicle
was found. It had been
abandoned and impounded.
The vehicle will remain in
police custody until
processed for evidence and
then returned to Perry by
CCPD.
