Funeral arrangements for Dr. Martin Farias III, assistant professor in the department of pharmaceutical sciences at the Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy are set for Tuesday and Wednesday in Brownsville.
Dr. Farias, assistant professor of physiology in the department of pharmaceutical sciences at the Texas A&M Health Science Center’s Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, died Saturday after a brief illness.
Dr. Farias was appointed to the faculty of the pharmacy college in 2006. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1996 and a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2003.
Visitation is Tuesday, April 15 afternoon from 1-9 p.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., Brownsville. The recitation of the holy rosary will be tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the East Chapel of the funeral home. Dr. Farias’ funeral will be Wednesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, and burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
