Annual Women’s Leadership Banquet honors three more

She approached the stage with tear filled eyes to accept her award.
Dr. Carol Tipton, Interim Library Director was one of the three women honored at the Women’s Leadership Banquet and Be All You Can Be Awards.
Faculty member Dr. Jennifer Sholtis, Associate Music Professor and student Wendy Austin, Range and Wildlife Management major were also awarded at the banquet Thursday.
For about six years the Women’s Enrichment and Advisory Committee has held a banquet to award a student, faculty and staff member in honor of their accomplishments on campus.
“There are so many phenomenal nominees I feel so honored to have been selected,” Tipton said.
Nominees were selected by co-workers, advisors and peers. Nominee forms were handed to the committee and the winners were selected by six judges.
The banquet is part of the events lined up by the committee for women’s history month. The keynote speaker was local television personality Kathryn Childers.
