RESIDENCE HALL ASSOCIATION HOSTS CHILDRENS CHRISTMAS PARTY
On December 5, the Residence Hall Association (RHA) hosted a Christmas Party for 20 underpriviliged children from the Kingsville area. Peals of laughter and glee could be heard in the Lynch Hall Lobby as the children were treated to fun activities, holiday treats, and a surprise visit from St. Nick. Also in attendance were 10 Americorps staff members from the South Texas Youth Development Council, who work with the children as part of an afterschool literacy project. The Christmas Party has become an annual community service project for RHA. Lindsey Renfro chaired the event. She was assisted by 12 RHA members and Gina Smith, Lynch Hall Director.
SODEXHO/MARRIOTT SERVES LATE NIGHT SNACKS
In conjunction with the Food Advisory Board, Sodexho Marriott will be serving late night snacks to all residence hall students on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights of Finals Week. This has been a popular tradition in the halls, as students stay up late studying and get the munchies. On Monday night, RHA volunteers and residence hall staff assisted Marriott staff in serving a late night breakfast in the SUB. On Tuesday night, the food service will be serving nachos and pretzels. On Wednesday night, pastries will be served. All events are at 9 p.m. and free to the hall residents upon presentation of a meal card.

Registrations are coming in for the Spring Career Fair (Feb. 28). This is a new event and will focus primarily on summer internship and coop opportunities but will also include full-time employment as well. The department hopes to have 50 recruiters participate.
