This graduate level course within the Counseling and Guidance program is the first in a series of courses already within the College providing an introductory look into student development in higher education. Staff and students interested in the higher education and student development professions are encouraged to register for this course. The course should provide an understanding of how student affairs departments serve the academic mission of a campus, the underlying themes and values of the student development profession, and why great importance is place on students and responsibility. For more information contact Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr., Associate VP for Student Affairs.

SUB COURTYARD SCHEDULED FOR FACELIFT
The SUB Courtyard (facing Poteet Hall) is scheduled for a badly needed facelift. "The plans are drawn and the bids are soon to be requested," stated Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr, associate VP for student affairs. The entire area will be recovered in a design similar to the work done around Manning Hall and the Engineering Building. It is expected the work will beautify the entry to the most heavily used building on campus, as well as provide a better location for relaxing, eating, or holding events. Work is tentatively planned for fall semester. Look for more information in future "Enews."
