Requirements

To be eligible to participate in CAMP, students must be a migrant or seasonal farm worker or a dependent of a migrant or seasonal farm worker defined as follows:

Migrant Farm worker- a seasonal farm worker whose employment required travel which kept the farm worker from returning to a permanent home within the same day.

Seasonal Farm worker- a person who was employed for at least 75 days within the previous 24 months in  farm work on a temporary or seasonal ( not-year round) basis. In addition, CAMP participants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a US citizen or registered alien
• Be a Texas resident eligible for in-state tuition rates
• Be a High school graduate or must have passed the G.E.D
• Be Pell Grant eligible (must apply for Financial Aid)
• Be an in-coming freshman (less than 30 college credit hours)
• Be registered with school district as a migrant (Certificate of Eligibility) or provide verifiable information as a seasonal farm worker.
