College of Arts and Sciences - Psychology

The Psychology Program offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.  The goals of the program are to provide students with a thorough understanding of and appreciation for psychology as a science of behavior and mental processes.  Students also gain knowledge in specific areas of psychology (e.g., the psychology of personality, adolescence, substance abuse, intimate relationships).

Some of our students pursue graduate degrees in psychology or related areas. Others obtain employment in social service agencies as case workers/managers or in similar positions.

Many Psychology majors choose to join the Psychology Club. The club is very active and is involved in activities such as sponsoring speakers and raising funds for charitable causes.
