Semester hour classification

The VARO uses the semester hour classification scale below to determine a veteran’s payment.  The number of semester hours enrolled at this university will be reported to the VARO.


Undergraduate
12 credit hours is full-time
9-11 credit hours is ¾-time
6-8
credit hours ½ -time
4-5 credit hours is less than ½
1-3 credit hours ¼-time or less
Graduate
9 credit hours is full-time
6-8
credit hours is ¾ time
4-5
credit hours is less than ½ time
1-3
credit hours is less than ½ time, more than ¼ time
3 credit hours is full time during the Summer I and Summer II session
