Student Service Fee Hearings

About the Board

The Student Service Fee Advisory Board (SSFAB) consists of five students, two staff and two faculty representatives. The Board plays a very important role, making recommendations on behalf of all students at Texas A&M University-Kingsville about the allocation of student service fees awarded each year. Their recommendations directly affect campus life and the future of many departments and programs. Board members receive a comprehensive orientation designed to familiarize them with SSFAB operating and budget allocation procedures. The Board meets several times during the beginning half of the spring semester to review student service fee requests.

All departments receiving Student Service Fee monies and requesting funds for FY25 are required to submit paperwork and will have a 20 minute session with the Board. This session is an opportunity for the requesting department to give the SSFAB members a clear understanding of the department's core services, impact to students, and its fiscal goals for the upcoming fiscal year.

The University President reviews the SSFAB recommendations and will have the final approval of the FY 2025 Student Service Fee as part of the university budget process.
