Miss TAMUK
The annual Miss Texas A&M University-Kingsville scholarship pageant will soon be upon us! This year, the pageant is broken down into two days. Candidates will have their personal interview and speech portion with the judges on Friday, April 12 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm and the pageant will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 7:00 pm in Jones Auditorium. Once again, we are excited about the pageant production. Our theme this year is masquerade.
Since this is a scholarship pageant, there is no bathing suit competition or talent portion. We are in search of women who have the confidence to represent the University at a variety of functions, including Hoggie Days, Homecoming, Family Weekend and more.
Attached is the official application for the scholarship pageant. The application can also be downloaded at http://www.tamuk.edu/osa/index.html. The deadline to submit an application is Monday, February 18th at 5:00 pm in the Office of Student Activities, located in MSUB 301. Please read all attached materials and then carefully complete the application. Please make special note of the 2.75 G.P.A. eligibility requirements for Miss Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
The scholarship prizes are as follows (please note: Miss TAMUK winner must serve for an entire year to receive the scholarship):
Miss Texas A&M-Kingsville - $2,000.00
1st Runner-Up - $1,200.00
2ndRunner-Up - $750.00
