The Campus Activities Board at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will host a performance by Peter Boie, a self-proclaimed magician for non-believers.  He will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, in the Grand Ballrooms of the Memorial Student Union Building. Admission is free.

Boie said being the magician for non-believers is about “creating an atmosphere where you stop thinking whether it’s real or not and you just enjoy it.”

He has won honors at magic competitions around the country including first place at Columbus Magi-Fest and being a finalist at the Society of American Magicians national stage contest. He also was nominated for two Campus Activities Magazine awards as one of the Best Novelty Performers and Fastest Rising Stars.

Boie has performed for such celebrities as Neil Young; Jonathan Kraft, president of the New England Patriots; Troy Brown, Patriot wide receiver; and the New England Patriots Cheerleaders. He also is routinely hired by companies like Oracle and LL Bean to entertain at their events. He performs at college campuses around the country.
