A&M-Kingsville Music Department Ready to Jazz Things Up for the Holiday Season

The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Department of Music’s jazz program will kick off the holiday season with its 27th Annual Jazz Bash at 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 23 in Jones Auditorium on the campus of A&M-Kingsville.

Jazz Bash is the jazz program's free annual fall concert and provides the community with a fun, relaxing and festive way to begin their holiday celebration just two days before Thanksgiving. In addition, the concert showcases the many talented students within A&M-Kingsville’s internationally award-winning jazz program.

The concert will feature the A&M-Kingsville Salsa Band directed by Dr. Jason Kihle, assistant professor of music; Jazz Bands II & III directed by James Warth, associate professor of music; and Jazz Band I, directed by Dr. Paul Hageman, professor of music.

Selected musical pieces include: June Is Bustin’ Out All Over, Tangerine, Take Only For Pain, All Of Me, Cruisin’ For A Bluesin’, Bonehead, Don’t Be Silly, Minor Mystery, In A Big Way, SuperBone Meets the Bad Man, Jumpin’ Jivin’ Joey, Dialmentia, Whiplash, Soy Antillana, Cambios, and Ah Bailar Cha-Cha-Cha.
