Pulizter Prize-winning cartoonist, Ben Sargent, to speak at A&M-Kingsville

Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Ben Sargent will speak at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Little Theatre at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The evening with Sargent is presented by the communications and theatre arts department. Admission is free 

Sargent, recently retired from the Austin American-Statesman, will discuss his work and experiences from four decades of Texas journalism. He continues to contribute to the American-Statesman weekly and is syndicated by Cox Newspapers, including the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.

He has published two books, Texas Statehouse Blues and Big Brother Blues. Sargent will speak at the eJournalism Workshop sponsored by the department for high school journalists Friday, Nov. 12.
